Set in the rolling hills of southwestern Iowa, our operation is home to a purebred Angus herd of about 500 cows, along with an additional 100  composite cows.

Brad Z Ranch has a long history in the Angus breed.  Our accomplishments in the past have included a National Western champion female and widely-recognized sires such as Brads Marshall Pride 4.  More recently, our sires, such as Wachter Hi Power W402 (below), have been used by cattlemen around the globe.  Several years ago, we added a composite herd to accommodate the needs of our customers who were utilizing rotational crossbreeding systems.  This herd is primarily comprised of Simmental, Red Angus, and Angus genetics.

We market our seedstock almost exclusively by private treaty.  Each spring we hold an opening day for private treaty bull sales, where our top 100 yearling bulls are offered for sale.  In addition, we sell females and semen from our herd sires throughout the year.
